About us
In 1985 there was a desire from a group of people within New Plymouth Central Baptist Church to plant a Church in the fast-growing Bell Block suburb. This turned to reality and Bell Block Baptist Church was born. Since that time the Church has steadily grown to now being a faith community of around 600 people (if they all turned up at once!).
Over the years, property has been developed and the staff team grown to ensure the Church is always proactive in being involved within its community.
Reflecting the fact that the Church was made up of people from all over North Taranaki, and with a desire to create meaningful entities that could serve different purposes, the name of the Church was changed to Northpoint Church in 2003.
