Newsletter 4th April 2020

Sunday Morning Church It was great to hear from many of you who appreciated the service we put together and emailed out last Sunday. Thanks for your encouragement and for giving worship in your own 'bubble' a go.We will continue to email each Sunday morning with resources and videos to lead households in various aspects of worshiping at home. We will worship, open scripture, and share reflections, testimonies and pray. Please keep an eye on your inbox on Sunday morning and also check out our Northpoint Whanau facebook group for specific resourcing for those with children in Pods, Sprouts, Forest and The Fort.We trust that you'll continue to engage with us and make the most of this opportunity to grow faith together with those we do life together with every day.

Staying Connected Despite our physical separation, let's continue to 'meet together', to encourage each other in our faith, and to remain connected to our local faith community by:

  • engaging with Sunday at Home email

  • praying for others eg: those people providing essential services, protection for them and their whanau, households with young children, families under stress,

  • checking in with others in our church community eg: phone, text, email, social media, zoom meetings...

  • staying connected online

Do you know we now have Instagram? Click on the link at the bottom of the page to connect that way

Easter @ Home is a wonderful resource that is going to be sent out to all our Forest and Preschool families this coming week. This is an opportunity for families to help our children put Christ at the center of Easter with Bible readings, fun activities and discussion with your child. It follows a simple Read-Do-Talk model and will be a simple yet effective way to help you to journey together to the cross this Easter. Parents & caregivers look out for your email. We will also post daily activities on the Northpoint Whanau facebook group and encourage you to share photos of your creations there also.

Giving at Northpoint

You can help support vulnerable New Zealanders

As the COVID-19 outbreak in New Zealand continues, we know that the most vulnerable in our communities are being greatly affected. Northpoint is unable to operate it's foodbank at the moment so we would ask that you support the Salvation Army's FoodBank Project instead. Please donate to The Foodbank Project and support other Kiwis who are less fortunate during these uncertain times.

We know in these changing times that people are having to change and adapt to different ways of doing things and for some of you that may include the way you give. We have two electronic ways that you can still put God first in your finances Internet Banking Northpoint Baptist Church TSB Bank
