Spurred on by the numerous “virtual choir” videos that have collected millions of views on YouTube (from many nations and places around the world like the UK, Malaysia, Canada, South Africa and many more) it’s time for The Church of Aotearoa/New Zealand to add our voice to the global choir singing God’s blessing during over all people.
Will you join the choir? Know some other vocalists who should?
The Blessing | Aotearoa/New Zealand project is NOW accepting vocal/video submissions with a Wednesday, June 10th DEADLINE.
The central "hub" to get info about the initiative is through this Facebook event:
You don't need to have a Facebook account to access the info and links contained in the EVENT listing. Everything any vocalist will need can be accessed from there.
The Blessing | Aotearoa/New Zealand song video initiative is:
- professionally produced
- with respectful integration of the te Reo Māori language
- representing the rich diversity of Kiwi culture
- with a production team dedicated to a high quality end result.
We have high hopes for this project, with great creative input and labor coming from Big Big Productions, More Than Music Mentor, 7th Sense Studios, Pray as One NZ and NZ Christian Network. Now we’re counting on people like you to help generate great vocal/video submissions that will be compiled into, what we believe, will be an important statement of unity-through-diversity from The Church of Aotearoa during the global troubles brought on by Covid-19.
It’ be great to have Church Unlimited well represented!

Lord, we pray for our world.
We pray for the horrific event in Minneapolis. Help us to be devoted to one another in love, honouring one another above ourselves (Rom 12:10).
We pray for the millions of children around the world who are exposed to preventable disease because of disruptions to vaccination programmes caused by coronavirus. Help us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute (Proverbs 31:8).
We pray for Yemen, where scores of coronavirus cases have been recorded across the country in the grip of a civil war. Thank you for being close to the brokenhearted and saving those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We pray for the state of emergency after 20,000 tonnes of oil leaked into a river within the Arctic Circle. Thank you that you care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly (Psalm 65:9).
We pray for the leaders of our world. May they not only look out for their own interests, but take an interest in others, too (Phil 2:4).
Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.
